JEAN-PHILIPPE COLLARD

SHADOWS AND LIGHT

TUESDAY 6TH OF AUGUST 2024

At the age of 10, Jean-Philippe Collard entered the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique de Paris, studying under Pierre Sancan.
Winner of numerous international competitions, he learned from his friend and master, Vladimir Horowitz, the secret of deep and sustained singing, which made him a virtuoso of nuanced lyricism. Jean-Philippe Collard performs on the world’s great musical stages – from Carnegie Hall to the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées and the Royal Albert Hall. In the intimate setting of the gardens of the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, he offers a recital centered around Gabriel Fauré – featuring the 3rd Barcarolle, with trills that remind us of the second composer of the evening : Frédéric Chopin.
